Elser 2015
On November 8, 1939, just two months after the Nazi occupation of Poland, carpenter Georg Elser, a staunch anti-Nazi, manages to plant a bomb in the famous Bürgerbräukeller hall in Munich where Hitler is scheduled to speak. The bomb goes off, but Hitler had cut his speech short and left the venue early, along with other high-ranking party members. Elser is captured while trying to flee to Switzerland and is interrogated by detectives, revealing the details of his failed assassination attempt after days of torture.
