The film tells the story of a family on the brink of a crucial decision in their lives, with Ray going through a gender transition and in need of support. Ray’s mother Maggie and grandmother Dolly are always by Ray’s side during this challenging time. However, they also need the legal approval of Ray’s biological father, who abandoned the family years ago.
