In this animated film, you will witness the unexpected adventures of a huge insect in Paris. The story takes place in 1910 in Paris. Raul is a humble freight worker by day, and a scientist with a dream of making a great invention by night. Raul and his friend Emil, who works at a cinema, conduct an experiment in a greenhouse. However, due to a mishap in the greenhouse, a tiny fly suddenly grows rapidly, reaching a length of two meters. This giant fly finds itself wandering the streets of Paris in confusion. Meanwhile, the villainous politician Victor tries to capture this giant insect, scare the people, and deceive them. But a dancer named Lucille discovers something interesting before he can catch it. This giant fly is not only polite and friendly, but also a very talented guitarist. She dresses him in clothes and a hat and introduces him to her boss. The boss is impressed by this guitarist. Un Monstre a Paris is directed by Bibo Bergeron, who returned to France after making a few films in the United States. The original French version features the voices of Gad Elmaleh, Sebastian Dejour, Ludivine Sagnier, and François Cluzet. The English version features Adam Goldberg, Jay Harrington, Catherine O’Hara, and Danny Huston; Vanessa Paradis voices Lucille in both versions.
