A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984
The film takes place on Elm Street. Nancy Thompson, with her divorced parents, gossipy friends, demanding boyfriend, and Freddy Krueger, the most popular horror movie character, with his red and green striped sweater, knife-fingered gloves, and burnt face, follows her. When Nancy’s best friends Tina and Tina are brutally murdered in bed with Rod, everyone, including Nancy’s police officer father Donald Thompson, is held responsible for Rod’s death. Later, when Freddy constantly disturbs Nancy in her nightmares, she realizes that her three best friends are having the same nightmares and her mother tells Nancy the real story of Freddy. Nancy becomes convinced that the real killer is Freddy, not Rod, and tries to confront him aggressively in her dreams to bring him out of her imaginary world.
