A Perfect Murder 1998
In the film A Perfect Murder, a wealthy and powerful businessman, Stephen Taylor (Michael Douglas), appears to have a successful career and a happy life with his beautiful wife Emily (Gwyneth Paltrow). However, when his wife starts secretly seeing artist David Shaw (Viggo Mortensen) because she is not finding the happiness she desires in their marriage, Stephen realizes this and calmly plans to take matters into his own hands without his wife knowing. Stephen’s perfect plan to get rid of the artist and punish his wife for her betrayal may not go as smoothly as he expects. Directed by Andrew Davis, this thriller is a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 film Dial M for Murder. James Newton Howard composed the film’s score, and the paintings featured in the movie are actual works by Viggo Mortensen.
