Michael Kohlhaas, a horse trader and leader of a team of Saxons, is arrested and detained by a corrupt official named Junker Wenzel. The official accuses Michael of falsifying documents and demands two horses as a bribe. Upon realizing the injustice of his arrest, Michael seeks justice and confronts the powerful Tronkan castle. He discovers the mistreatment of horses and the abuse of a man who stands up against the cruelty. Despite facing obstacles from influential connections, Michael continues his fight for justice alone.
