Detective Alex Cross, who works in the homicide department, is highly trained in psychology and works at the Detroit Police Center. Throughout his career as a police officer, Alex has faced many interesting cases and has successfully solved them all with great expertise. However, his latest case will prove to be the most challenging yet. A serial killer is leaving behind Picasso paintings after each murder, earning the nickname Picasso. Alex Cross is determined to catch the killer, but unknowingly makes a grave mistake that puts his loved ones and family in danger. As a seasoned detective who has never made a mistake before, Alex’s life becomes increasingly complicated as the case takes on a personal dimension.
