Alice (Mia Farrow) lives her life in the shadow of her successful husband (William Hurt) and seeks a solution for her joint pain from Dr. Young (Kay Luke). According to the intriguing Dr. Yang, the problem lies in the heart and brain. Alice is in love with the charismatic widower Jo (Joe Mantagno) whom she meets at her children’s school. With Dr. Yang’s invisibility potion, Alice gets a chance to get to know Joe better and suppress her feelings of guilt when she realizes what her husband is up to.
