All That Jazz 1979
In the 1979 musical film All That Jazz, directed by American director Bob Fosse who passed away in 1987, we follow the successful career and womanizing ways of a Broadway director. The film was nominated for five Oscars and won four. Starring the late American actor Roy Scheider, alongside Oscar-winning actresses Jessica Lange, Ann Reinking, Leland Palmer, Irene Kane, Deroba Geffner, and Ben Vereen, the story revolves around Joe Gideon, a music director, choreographer, and writer who is at the top of his game on Broadway. Despite his successful career, Joe spends his days with women whose names he can’t even remember and eventually his health starts to deteriorate without him realizing. The film portrays snippets from Fosse’s own life and has received positive reviews for its portrayal of a successful yet flawed protagonist.
