Always 1989
Pilot Pete Sandich (Richard Dreyfuss) puts out forest fires from the air and loves taking risks. His fiancée Dorinda (Holly Hunter) works as a radio operator in a tower. Pete tries to rescue his close friend Al Yaki (John Goodman) in an accident and dies in the process. Now as a ghost, Pete returns to Earth to support Dorinda in continuing her life. He meets the angel Hap (Audrey Hepburn) who sends him back to Earth.
