Stephanie (Amber Heard) and Ellie (Odette Annable) go on a girls’ vacation. Traveling by bus or bike in the exotic corners of Argentina sometimes takes them to a small village. Ellie’s flirtation with a young man at a country bar will take their otherwise smooth vacation in a completely different direction. The next day, the two friends argue. They will go back to the hotel separately. But Ellie never comes back. The village police chief shows very little interest in the case. Stephanie, who starts looking for her friend on her own, will only have one ally, an American named Michael (Karl Urban) who lives in a hotel. Ellie is not the first girl to go missing in this town.
