In a small French town, a by-product factory supplying the automobile industry starts making a profit after workers agree to work for the same wage for a few years. However, the parent company decides to shut down the factory based on their financial strategies. The workers go on strike against this decision, seeking help from union leader Phillip to fight for their rights.
