1882 Appaloosa City, New Mexico. Two friends, Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch, roam the lawless and chaotic cities serving as lawmen everywhere they go. The townspeople have long been plagued by a rancher named Randall Bragg. Bragg has also killed 3 lawmen. As Bragg is being tried for hanging, a new widow in town changes their plans.
