Successful businesswoman and single woman Kate has put her career ahead of her personal life. At the age of 37, she decides to have a baby but learns she is unable to conceive. Undeterred, Kate pursues her decision and asks a young woman named Angie to give birth for her. When Kate discovers Angie is pregnant, she immerses herself in motherhood research. As Angie becomes homeless and turns to Kate for help, the two women navigate the challenges of awaiting a child’s birth together, realizing that there are different kinds of families – some are born, and some are created.
