Young Will Burton is a rebellious and antisocial teenager whose only passion is rock music. When his mother’s new job forces them to move to New Jersey, Will starts attending a new school where he hopes to find a community that shares his love for music. Despite being very different from the school’s popular girls, their mutual passion for rock music brings them closer together. Charlotte, a new acquaintance of Will’s, also plays a significant role in forming their band. As they face fierce competition from other rock groups at school, they experience a mix of fun, drama, and memorable rock music moments.
