San Francisco homicide detective Nick Curran is assigned to investigate a new murder case, where the primary suspect is Catherine, a psychologist and writer who is very open about her sexuality. As Nick gets closer to Catherine, he becomes entangled in a passionate relationship with her. Despite warnings from his colleagues and his psychiatrist about Catherine’s dangerous nature, Nick ignores their advice. As more murders occur, Nick finds himself drawn deeper into Catherine’s web of lies and deceit.
