In his autobiographical film, Mike Mills speaks candidly about his incredible relationship with his father. “Beginners” is a wonderful creative comedy about the relationship between a 75-year-old father and son, and the discovery of true love after years of marriage when the wife passes away and the husband realizes he is gay. Mike Mills’ first film, “Thumbsucker,” garnered great attention when it was shown at the Istanbul Film Festival in 2005.
