Belle 2013
Based on a true story, this film begins with the Lord Chief Justice of England bringing a black woman’s daughter, who is the son of the President, to be raised on the family estate during a time when England was at the forefront of the global slave trade. Belle will be raised according to the rules of the English aristocracy, but she has a long way to go to truly become one of them.
