Cristian Mungiu’s film “Beyond the Hills”, which received great impact and acclaim with “4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days” and won the Golden Palm and many other awards, was nominated for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. Devotee Wojcita and Alin are two close friends who grew up together in the same orphanage, enduring difficult situations such as sexual harassment. After leaving the orphanage, one of the two women, Vojhita, moved to Germany and lived there; Alina settled in Romania and sought refuge in a monastery. Vojchita, suffering from depression and loneliness in Germany, visits her old friend in Romania. According to their plans, she will take Alina from Romania and start a new life. However, when she finds Alina in the monastery where she lives, she is faced with an unexpected situation.
