Big Miracle 2012
The Great Miracle tells the story of a small town news reporter (John Krasinski) following the story of a Greenpeace volunteer (Drew Barrymore) that warms the hearts of people around the world. Local TV reporter Adam Carlson (Krasinski) is eager to leave the northern tip of Alaska to enter a larger market. When he finds the biggest news of his career, he realizes that the whole world is watching him. Amidst all the oil giants, government officials, and hungry journalists approaching the cold region, Rachel Kramer (Barrymore) worries Adam the most. Kramer is an outspoken environmentalist and Adam’s ex-girlfriend. Time is running out, and Rachel and Adam bring together an unusual group of native people from the northern regions. Oil companies, Russian and US armies set aside their differences and mobilize to save the whales. As everyone’s attention focuses on this point at the top of the world, saving these endangered animals brings the grumbling countries closer together and temporarily suspends the Cold War.
