Bobby is a remake of one of the most tragic nights in American history. Writer/director Emilio Estevez crafted an intimate and detailed mosaic of America on the fateful night of Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination at the Ambassador Hotel, following the stories of 22 fictional characters. As Kennedy navigates through prejudice, injustice, chaos, and complex personal histories of the various characters in the film, he never fails to search for even the smallest remnants of hope from his idealism. Exploring the different experiences of ordinary people, the film blessed the spirit of an extraordinary individual and honored those striving to capture one of the most significant turning points in history.
