Customs officer Tina is known for her extraordinary sense of smell. She can sense anyone who is hiding something. However, when a suspicious-looking man named Vore passes by her, for the first time someone challenges her abilities. Tina feels that Vore is hiding something that she cannot identify, and even worse, she is drawn to him. As Tina forms a special bond with Vore and discovers his true identity, she also realizes the truth about herself. The 2018 film Border, directed by Ali Abbasi, is filled with drama, romance, and fantastical elements, and was nominated for an Oscar award.
