Bravo Two Zero 1999
During the 1st Gulf War, a British task force was assigned to destroy Iraqi Scud missile launchers and fiber optic communication lines. They failed and were captured by Iraqi forces. Only one out of every 8 people walked 300 km to escape and make it to Syria. Three Brits died from the cold and enemy fire, while the remaining four were later released. Two films have been made and books have been written about this event.
