Burlesque 2010
Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a powerful voice who escapes her troubled and uncertain future in Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. After stumbling upon the glamorous but rundown Burlesque Lounge, she is hired as a cocktail waitress by the club’s owner and lead singer Tess (Cher). Mesmerized by Burlesque’s lavish costumes and daring choreography, Ali vows to one day take the stage herself.
Soon, Ali befriends the lead dancer (Julianne Hough), becomes enemies with the jealous and troubled dancer (Kristen Bell), and wins the affection of bartender-musician Jack (Cam Gigandet). With the help of the sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and other staff members (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. As her magnificent voice brings Burlesque Lounge back to its former glory, a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) makes her an enticing offer.
