Dan, an Australian man, falls into a deep heroin addiction with a woman named Candy. Both are very creative and deeply connected to each other, which makes their relationship so strong. Dan sees hedonist Casper as his mentor and has to turn to him when he runs out of money. The lives of these two people who want to live love and life to the fullest gradually turn into a grim picture. The film, adapted from the novel Candy, has an impressive cast. It holds both visual and literary value of the book it is based on and has been compared to Requiem for a Dream in terms of Australian cinema.
