Cape Fear 1991
Sam Bowden (Nick Nolte) is an Atlanta lawyer who has dedicated his life to the law. His peaceful life with his family quickly turns into a nightmare when Max Cady (Robert De Niro), a man he defended 14 years ago, is released from prison and begins plotting his revenge. Max Cady was accused of a brutal rape and was illiterate. Sam chose not to use the document that could have saved Max from prison, but Max was still arrested. Now, Max is out of prison and his thirst for revenge begins with small threats that gradually start affecting Sam’s family. Max Cady, who first rapes Sam’s lawyer girlfriend, causes a rift between Sam and his wife and starts arguments in their home. The dog in Sam’s house is poisoned and killed while Max is away. And these events are just the beginning for Max Cady, with Sam’s 16-year-old daughter Danielle (Juliette Lewis) next on his list.
