Ben Cash, who lives in the remote Pacific Northwest forests of the USA with his six children, has created his own truths in this environment away from civilization. His children, however, have not developed any immunity to civilization and he has raised them with great care both physically and intellectually. But after losing his wife Leslie, all of his established order is shattered and Ben is forced to return to the city with his children. The children will have to face city civilization and Ben will have to confront his groundbreaking parenting methods…
