Cargo 2009
In the year 2237, the world has become uninhabitable due to ecological collapse, and the survivors are struggling to survive on space stations orbiting Earth. Among them is young doctor Laura Portmann, who hopes for a better future on the distant planet Rhea. In need of money to make the journey, she signs a contract to work on the abandoned cargo ship Cassandra, which will take four years to reach Station 42. A contemplative sci-fi film from European cinema, exploring themes of survival and hope in a post-apocalyptic world.
