CBGB 2013
CBGB is a film about the legendary New York City nightclub that became the birthplace of punk music in the 1970s. Originally known as CBGB or Country Bluegrass Blues, the club saw a shift in music history when iconic punk band Ramones took the stage for the first time. Owner Hilly Crystal became a legend as CBGB hosted influential bands like Blondie, Misfits, Patti Smith, and Talking Heads. However, as punk music evolved and new bands emerged, CBGB lost its former glory and sadly closed its doors in 2006. Patti Smith was the last person to visit the club.
