117 AD… The Roman Empire expanded from Egypt to Spain and from the east to the Black Sea. However, conquests in northern Britain were halted by the Picts, an unbeatable enemy using guerrilla tactics. The film is set during the Roman occupation of Britain. It follows the story of Quintus Dias, the last survivor of a Pictish attack. Joining the legendary 9th Legion of General Virilus, the young man embarks on a journey north to destroy the Pictish race and their leader Gorlakon.
