Frank Allen (Ryan Reynolds) is a planner who lives his life according to lists, creating new ones every day. One New Year’s Eve, he goes out to celebrate with his friends Susan (Emily Mortimer), Buddy (Stuart Townsend), and others. That day, Susan reveals that she wants to get married and that it’s on her New Year’s list. She says she will choose her future husband from among their friends. Frank, who is content with yesterday’s memories, is still in love with her.
