Chasing Mavericks 2012
Inspired by the true story of legendary surfer Jay Moriarty, the film focuses on the relationship between Mavericks surfing legend Moriarty and another local legend, Frosty Hesson. Their friendship, which changes their lives, takes them to a place beyond just breaking a record at Mavericks and achieving the impossible. Directed by Michael Apted and Curtis Hanson and written by Brandon Hooper and Karyo Salem, “Chasing Mavericks” stars Johnny Weston, Gerard Butler, and Elisabeth Shue.
