Chinatown 1974
Former police officer Jake Gittes works as a private detective. His wife Evelyn hires him to follow Hollis E. Mulwray, who is responsible for water management in Los Angeles, suspecting that her husband is cheating on her. Jake begins the surveillance, only to discover that Hollis is with another woman. However, things take a dark turn when Hollis is mysteriously murdered. Jake tries to let the events unfold naturally, but he is pulled into a nightmare. The situation becomes even more complicated when Evelyn realizes that the woman she thought was Hollis’s wife is not who she seems. The tangled web of deceit and betrayal continues to unravel as Jake delves deeper into the case.
