Richard Dane is an ordinary man living a normal life with his family in a small town in East Texas. When he kills a burglar who enters his home in self-defense, he sets off a chain of events. The burglar turns out to be one of the wanted criminals and the son of former criminal Ben Russell. Despite starting off as enemies, Richard and Ben eventually form a close bond, even becoming like father and son. As they uncover shocking truths behind the events, they will learn things beyond their wildest imaginations.
