New York taxi driver Jerry Fletcher (Mel Gibson) is addicted to conspiracy theories. He has made it a habit to talk to everyone around him about the people really running the country and the killers roaming the streets. One day, Fletcher decides that Justice Department prosecutor Alice Sutton (Julia Roberts) also needs to know the truth. He goes to the lawyer’s office, where he is quickly kicked out. But soon enough, the two of them will be trying to save their lives..
