Convoy 1978
Sheriff (Ernest Borgnine) and a police army find themselves in a battle against a legendary truck driver (Kris Kristofferson) leading a convoy of truckers obsessed with the highway. What starts as a clash of wallets quickly turns into a drama as the truckers assault the sheriff and police. Upon hearing the news, truckers across the country join the convoy, the media tries to smear the convoy, and politicians seek to profit from the situation.
