For years, detective McKenna worked alone until his routine was disrupted by Devon Butler, the sole witness to a crime. In exchange for testifying, Butler asks to be a police officer for a day, and McKenna reluctantly agrees. As Butler tries to solve the case on his own, things quickly spiral out of control.
