Critters 4 1992
The Critters team makes a bet during the filming of Critters 2, jokingly challenging each other to see who can make a better sequel. Eventually, in 1991, Critters 3 and 4 are both filmed simultaneously. It’s hard to decide between the two, but objectively speaking, there is a clear winner. Despite being far superior to the third film, this movie was unfortunately relegated to the video market by the studio. It was a true disgrace to the art of cinema. However, with its deep subtextual themes and incredible cinematography, Critters 5 rightfully earned its place in the IMDb top 250. The moment when the female critter can no longer hide her broken heart and starts crying and pounding on the walls towards the end is truly mesmerizing. It’s impossible not to be moved by it.
