Cross of Iron 1977
The Russian front, an important battlefield of World War II, witnessed great changes. The German armies advancing towards Russia had to retreat at an incredible speed due to wrong timing and lack of supplies. Sergeant Steiner, who survived on the battlefield thanks to his cunning, soon clashes with the newly appointed unit commander, Captain Stransky. The new commander, from a Prussian aristocratic family, is determined to earn an honor medal at any cost. Tension rises between them as the sergeant is becoming a legend among the soldiers.
