Owen Matthews breaks the rules and causes chaos at his school before continuing his education at Westlake Prep. He joins an unofficial club of liars with beautiful and experienced Dodger and chatty and flashy Tom. They create a killer named Kurt who recently committed a murder and plans to do it again, spreading the rumor throughout the school campus. According to the group’s explanation, Kurt tends to target people who know each other well. When their journalism teacher Rich Walker exposes the hidden horror online, Owen is encouraged to spread his fabricated stories on the internet. The identified victims start disappearing suddenly. Owen, Dodger, and Tom can no longer tell where the lies end and the truth begins. The game becomes terrifyingly real when the players start hunting someone or something.
