Days of Heaven 1978
Heavy industrial workers Bill and Abby head south in search of better jobs. Their adopted sister Linda is also with them. Claiming to be siblings, Bill and Abby start working as seasonal laborers on a large farm. Bill, who knows the landlord’s feelings for Abby and accidentally learns that she is terminally ill, thinks he has found a way to get rich. Even pretending to be siblings on the farm and later marrying the landlord, Abby begins to feel trapped between Bill and his wife. Bill, who falls in love with Abby, will feel increasingly strange in this marriage and take on strange jobs.
