Death Proof 2007
“Dublör” Mike is a killer who can walk away from any traffic accident unscathed thanks to the “lethal” mechanism attached to his car. He has gained a reputation as a ruthless killer, especially in his attacks on young women. One time, he sets his sights on four women he meets at a bar as his new targets. However, he is unaware of who his victims are and the trouble he is about to get himself into. Death Proof, the second part of Quentin Tarantino’s controversial Grindhouse project made with Robert Rodriguez, is a film that fully embraces the characteristics of 1970s exploitation cinema that the director admires. With its intense violence, it may be hard for the average viewer to digest. But there is no doubt that it will attract the director’s followers and eager cinephiles to the big screen.
