Jonathan McQuarrie (Ewan McGregor) is a man who wanders aimlessly in the power corridors of New York, always following the motto “work all the time, never have fun.” However, a chance encounter with the charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Boz (Hugh Jackman) introduces Jonathan to a world of corruption and decadence in Manhattan, reserved only for the elite.
In this world, where high-level executives wear four thousand dollar suits and unwind in airless underground rooms, and where women are exceptionally beautiful and accessible, there is a secret sex club called The List. A simple phone call with the words “Are you free tonight?” can lead to a night of sexual satisfaction. Jonathan discovers a side of himself he never knew existed in this world of “no-strings-attached intimacy.”
Meanwhile, his relationship with a highly attractive and mysterious woman known only as “S” (Michelle Williams) leads him into a world of betrayal and murder that he could never have imagined.
