Delicatessen 1991
The film is set in a post-war France, where people are afraid to leave their apartment building due to scarcity of food and the value of human flesh as the most precious food source. Louison, a former circus clown, moves into the building as a new tenant, drawing the attention of everyone, especially the butcher downstairs. Louison falls in love with the butcher’s beautiful daughter, Julie. Julie tries to protect Louison from the unfortunate fate that has befallen other tenants.
