Demolition Man 1993
In the 1990s, urban terrorist Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes) is frozen in ice for his crimes against humanity. Tough cop John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone), known for his ruthless methods, is framed for killing a bus full of innocent civilians and becomes a victim of the Phoenix conspiracy, sharing the same fate. In 2032 San Angeles (formerly Los Angeles), Phoenix, now released accidentally, wreaks havoc in a city free of violence. Spartan is awakened from cryosleep to stop him, forming an unlikely duo with the cheerful police officer Lenina Huxley (Sandra Bullock). Spartan quickly realizes that the city’s underground is filled with homeless rebels, directing both wings of the city with a light and masculine touch, he will famously say, “a little bit of cleaning, a little bit of dirty” at the end of the film.
