Dial M for Murder 1954

Based on Frederick Knott’s play, Dial M for Murder is a thriller and crime film directed by the master of suspense and crime films, Alfred Hitchcock. Starring Oscar-winning British actor Ray Milland, actress Grace Kelly who tragically passed away in a car accident in 1982, American actor Robert Cummings who passed away in 1990, and actor John Williams. The film was also remade as A Perfect Murder. Tony and Margot Wendis are a married couple who appear happy and peaceful on the outside, but their relationship is surrounded by suspicion and deceit. When the wife discovers that her husband Tony is having an affair with their writer friend Mark Holliday and that the letters from her lover have gone missing, a series of events unfold involving blackmail and a diabolical plot. Aware of the forbidden love between his wife Margot and Mark, Tony enlists his old friend Charles Alexander Swann in his sinister plan. After sending Margot and Mark to the cinema, Tony invites Charles to the house and begins to explain his plan. The plan involves his wife, the love letters, and a large sum of money. However, much to his dismay, there are many geniuses in the world who are far superior to Tony Wendis.
