Dirty Pretty Things 2002
Okwe, who escaped from Nigeria to England, works as a taxi driver and waiter in a hotel in London, struggling to make a living. His roommate, Turkish immigrant Shenay, works as a maid at the same hotel. Living in fear of being deported as illegal immigrants, their lives take a turn when Okwe receives a phone call while working at the hotel reception. When he goes to check a broken toilet in a hotel room, he makes a horrifying discovery that sends him into London’s dark underworld. Shenay joins Okwe in his mafia adventure in the hopes of finding the money she needs to escape to America.
