Barbara Novak (Renee Zellweger) is a writer who in her feminist manifesto book says no to love and yes to career, development, and sex: The city is doomed to be conquered by her… right? Katch’s best friend and boss, neurotic lover Peter McMannus (David Hyde Pierce), tries to start a writer and journalist. But his real goal is to get closer to Barbara’s smart and beautiful editor Vicki Hiller.
