When the baby of Mrs. Jumbo, a circus elephant named Dumbo, is born with enormous ears, he becomes the laughing stock of the circus. However, with the help of his courage and loyal friend Timothy the mouse, Dumbo overcomes all obstacles. Based on the book by Helen Aberson and Harold Pearl, Disney’s fourth animated feature film, Dumbo, was hailed as “A Film You’ll Never Forget” by the New York Times. The film, made for $950,000, grossed $1.6 million worldwide when it was released in 1941.
