El Dorado 1966
Alcoholic yet intimidating Sheriff JP Harra (Robert Mitchum) teams up with his former sheriff friend Cole Thornton (John Wayne). They are joined by an elderly Bull native (Arthur Hunnicutt) and a Mississippi gambler (James Caan). Modi (Charlene Holt) is JP Harra’s girlfriend and Cole Thornton’s ex-girlfriend. A water dispute erupts between two ranch owners. After the Civil War, Bart Jason (Edward Asner) emerges with a mysterious bag of money and quickly grows in power. They need more water to expand their operations. So, they are thirsty for water on a farm owned by Kevin McDonald (Armstrong R.G.). MacDonald settled in the area about 20 years ago, farming the land despite wolves and Native Americans, with his four sons and daughter standing against Jason. The sheriff and his team help McDonald, who is trying to steal his water.
